A rainbow baby is a baby born after a previous miscarriage, infant loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The Bundle of Joy quilt is a celebration of this new life! The pattern was inspired by my own rainbow baby who is pictured on the cover! This intermediate level pattern uses curved piecing and includes both baby and NICU sizes.

This is such a cute pattern! I messed up with my first try doing it and messaged the Etsy shop for help. I quickly received a message from her and she was able to help me figure out what I needed to do different. The second try was perfect. Follow directions exactly. The cuts have to be precise. I had to pin each piece before sewing because my machine stretched the top fabric too much. I used starch when I was pressing after sewing each color and that helped it a lot.
It’s a good pattern but you have to be precise in your cuts and when sewing it together (ask me how I know🤦♀️) Starch, starch, and starch again all of your fabric before cutting, and before sewing, I had to figure that out on my own. If you’re not careful the fabric stretches since half is cut on the bias so SEW SLOW. My first quilt turned out wonky but the second was beautiful! And I love that there are 2 sizes :)
The pattern is fantastic and beautiful! I love that I was able to make a baby size and a NICU size out of the fabric. So happy with this purchase!
Amazing pattern! I’m halfway through the baby size and can’t wait to make the NICU size. Definitely recommend starching like crazy like the other commenters suggested - it really helps. Curved seams might seem daunting at first but are totally doable (this is my first time with curves). It’s sewing together really nicely and very quick! Thanks for the great pattern :)
