Such a lovely aristocratic French couple sitting in chairs depicting the times and court life of Marie Antoinette and King Louis XVI made in occupied Japan. He is holding a violin and she is reading a book representing some popular passtimes of the day.

These charming figurines measure 3 1/2 inches tall and 2 inches across the base.

Perfect addition to the French Country and Shabby Chic home decor styles.

These were made between the years 1945–1952.
