This is a wonderful 1920's fashion designer print.1929 Patou "Evening Ensemble" the higher waistline and low hemline of the dress in this black and gold lame ensemble clearly anticipate the silhouette of the thirties. The coat is trimmed with black fox and lined with black velvet. Illustration is mounted on high quality 5x7 natural card stock and embellished with glitter, rhinestones, and feathers.Comes with matching envelope.Jean Patou became known for eradicating the flapper look by lengthening the hemline and returning to the natural waistline. He was considered the inventor of the tennis skirt and knitted swimwear. He also designed sportswear for women and popularized the cardigan. He is also famous for inventing "Joy" perfume.
