I really like taking objects or concepts that many people (including myself, sometimes) are squeamish about and recreating them out of materials that many of the same people think are cozy and inviting.

That dichotomy is the basis for my newest line of aknitomical offerings.

The bisected human head is a needle felted piece of art on a background of warm, soft knitted merino wool, as cozy as your favorite sweater. It comes in a wooden, 10 x 10 inch frame.

The brains are hand knitted as well, and then sewn in place.

I generally knit the background color in something lovely and dark, to showcase the vibrant colors of the head. If you want a particular color for your background, please convo me and I'll happily knit up whatever you'd like!

Many fibers were used to create the head, including merino wool, alpaca, silk and tencel.

Please convo me with any questions!
