A mantilla - chapel veil to treasure for generations. The Stella Maris veil got it's name because the incredible swirl of colors on this floral lace reminds us of the ever changing sea and sky -- so it was fitting to name it for Our Lady Star of the Sea. This pretty lace is a blend of blues and orchid with light blue over embroidery to highlight the floral design. The light blue lace trim is a perfect match for that highlighting.

So versatile. Wear it loose in the time honored style. If it's a windy day, as it often is when we attend Mass in a seaside chapel, it's so easy to simply tie it under your chin like a kerchief. And if you're blessed with a baby with little grabby fingers, you can just tie it in back behind your hair.

The traditional triangle shape measures 56" wide by 26" deep.

If you have sea-fairing sons and husbands or if you're involved in the Apostleship of the Sea, this is the right mantilla to wear when you pray for them. By the way, her feast day is September 27th

A hidden loop lets you secure the veil to your hair with a matching bobby pin without damaging the lace. Or choose a removable comb.

Your veil will arrive in a brocade carry pouch - and it has a separate pocket for your rosary or a hanky. You'll also receive matching hair pin and blue lilac floral sachet to keep your veil fresh.

The Veiled Woman line of exquisite handmade mantillas and chapel veils is handmade one by one in the USA.

I am happy to hear your requests for custom and personalized orders, but my ability to fulfill your request is dependent on the availability of the lace you request and the time available to me. Custom orders are final sale.
Almost every veil can be washed in your washing machine on gentle cycle. However, so you are more confident, it is easy to swish your veil in warm water with a few drops of detergent. This method is recommended for embroidered veils. It is recommended that you wash dark veils separately. Lay flat or hang to dry -- or use your home dryer on the air dry setting. You may also iron your veil on the coolest setting preferably using a cloth between the iron and the veil.
I stand by the quality of my veils. If any stitching ever comes loose from normal wear and tear*, you can send it back to me for repair. Just pay the postage to send it to me. I'll pay for the return trip.

*Normal wear and tear does not include tearing or poking a hole through the lace. That's why I send you a carrying pouch - so you can keep your veil safe.
