Green Tara - Goddess of Compassion

For more sizes see the other listing for this artwork.

Green Tara personifies compassion at its most gentle and heartfelt. She sits on a lotus that arose out of the lake of tears shed by the Buddha of Compassion, Avalokiteshvara. He stands quietly in his compassion, but Tara is compassion in action: she extends her foot down to the lotus below, ready to stand at a moment’s notice to begin her work. Her right hand rests on her knee, open in the mudra of supreme giving. Her left hand forms the mudra of protection and fearlessness.

♥ NOTE: Sizes are approximate. Please wait to buy a frame until you have the art in hand. Framed examples included in listing images are included to give you ideas on how you might frame your purchase, but I don't sell framed prints unless one is specifically listed on a drop down menu.

♥ A WORD ABOUT ARCHIVAL GICLÉE PRINTS : Artwork is scanned via what looks like a really big "camera"/computer and then printed with a sophisticated inkjet printer, which is 6 feet wide, onto artists' archival heavyweight watercolor paper. This makes the most crisp accurate print available in fine art printing technology. People often mistake the prints for actual paintings.

I'm so thrilled that both the Green Tara and Vagrasattva Buddha were sent at the same. I received these very quickly after they were shipped. They were also perfectly packaged. Green Tara is magical with her amazing headless and clothing, and the Buddha is encircled in a perfect arrangement. The artwork is simply gorgeous!

So royal in Her Lapis Blue garments. This print is going to be framed and hung at my puja.

All of Laura's work is amazing, and for me this piece in particular is very special. The quality of these giclée prints is really exceptional: the crisp detail, the paper quality, everything is phenomenal. It's an honor and a deep gift to have this sacred iconography as a central part of my home altar and practice space.
