Panel Canvas Originals:

I use many, many colors of acrylic paint. I tend to gravitate towards blues and greens.

Yes! I varnish, or cover the painting, in a UV-resistant matte coating. This keeps the painting protected from UV rays, keeps it from yellowing, and protects it from moisture. The matte coating allows the painting to stay true to its original colors and shine.

Cotton duck canvas is smoother than regular canvas because of its high thread count. Duck is classified using a numerical system, with 1 being the heaviest and 12 being the lightest type. Stretched artist duck canvas is number 12 on the scale.

Primed with an acrylic gesso (titanium white).This gesso doesn't have the oil acids that tend to deteriorate cotton or linen canvas fibers. It’s perfect for acrylic painting and will last 50-100 years given normal conditions of display.

I use 100lb matte cardstock for my prints. The paper I use is excellent for image contrast and color reproduction. It has a highly smooth surface for toner adhesion and a more stable surface for heavier toner applications. It’s brightness is excellent for accurate color reproduction. It’s 100% acid-free, so the paper will last longer than regular paper. 100lb means it’s very thick, like cardstock for invitations. The matte finish won’t give it that glossy shine. Instead, you get a genuine version of the painting on the print.

I use an inkjet printer. This type of printer sprays liquid ink onto the paper through microscopic nozzles, a method that is superior to laser printing when it comes to art prints with vibrant, rich, detailed, and blended colors.
