A fun ray of sunshine for any cloudy day. This mini quilt/pillow PDF pattern will brighten any room. The mini quilt finishes at 20” square. Utilizing- quilt as you go, turned edge applique, raw edge applique and embroidery, this pattern keeps things interesting.
Supplies needed for this pattern include: cotton batting, sewable iron on adhesive, fabric, and embroidery supplies.
Photos and detailed instructions for assembly of the quilted front are all included, which involves an improv quilt as you go technique to construct the rays. links to additional helps for: creating a hidden zipper pillow back, binding and wrapped backstitch embroidery can also be found in the pattern.

This is a very clear, nice pattern. I'm really happy with it. Heads-up, though, that the rays aren't as simple as they look! The key is to do EXACTLY as the pattern says - angle the rays toward the center of the sun. I ripped out a lot and then finally got a mental image in my head of how you hold a hand of cards. Silly, I know, but it worked. I love how mine is coming along. Almost finished!

I made 2 of these wallhangings for my grandchildren. Reading through the directions first helped a lot. It was a little tricky getting all the strips to lay at the right angle but once you started sewing them together you could plan it out better. I really enjoyed making them and think they turned out cute!
