This wire wrapped owl charm necklace is handcrafted with fine jewelry wire. I used a lead and nickel free owl charm, genuine smokey gray Swarovski crystals for its eyes, and a black agate moon.

✧You have the option to have your pendant created in either silver plated copper wire or solid .925 sterling silver wire. Use the drop-down menu to choose which option you would prefer.

✧Pendant is 1 and 3/4 inches (40mm) tall and 1 and 3/4 inches wide not including the bail. It is a Junior on the size comparison chart. The bail is half an inch tall. Scroll through the pictures for a size comparison chart.

✧This listing has several chain options. Use the drop-down menu to make a selection. You have a choice between stainless steel with a lobster clasp or sterling silver with a spring ring jewelry clasp.

✧Your pendant will be made upon order. Each handmade pendant is a little different but I strive to make them as similar as possible. Please allow for some variation in the gemstone moon. Each gemstone used is black agate but the markings will vary slightly.

There is an intrinsic promise that comes with each handmade item. You are guaranteed quality and satisfaction. These Tree of Life pendants are handmade by me, Mel Tinsley, from fine jewelry wire, lead and nickel free charms, and genuine Swarovski crystals.

-Please ask any questions you have before ordering.

-You will receive one handmade Tree of Life pendant.

-These wire Trees of Life are relatively fragile so I do not recommend they be worn by children.

-Treat your pendant with the same tenderness as you would expect to handle glass.

-Always remove your pendant before showering or sleeping to avoid tarnish.

-Store your pendant in a dry, safe place. It can bend or become misshapen if dropped or slammed.

-Never submerge your pendant in jewelry polish or cleaners. A dry silver-polishing cloth is all that is needed to remove fingerprints and natural skin oils from metal.

-Please remember, I make each pendant by hand. Though I do my very best to make them 100% identical, there are sometimes slight differences in the pendants. I assure you, these variations are barely noticeable.

-I ship daily with a lead time of one to four days depending on if I have orders ahead of yours and whether or not I have a design already made. If you are in a rush (last minute birthday gifts, I've been there!), just send me a message and I will do my best to rush it out quickly for you!

-Each order comes wrapped and ready for gifting!

-Is this a gift? If you'd like a printed note added to the order please type the message into my "note to seller" section of the order and I will happily add a special message!

-If this order is shipping to a friend, also be sure to leave the correct address on the order or you may end up finding the package in your own mailbox.

🦉 Owl Symbolism 🦉

The owl is sacred to the Greek goddess of learning, Athena and is even depicted on some Greco-Roman currency as a symbol of status, intelligence and of course, wealth.
In ancient Egyptian, Celtic, and Hindu cultures the symbolic meaning of owl revolved around guardianship of the underworlds, and a protection of the dead.
In this light the owl was ruler of the night and seer of souls. A misunderstanding of this necessary relationship gave the owl some negative associations with death.
It should be clear that the owl was honored as the keeper of spirits who had passed from one plane to another. Often myth indicates the owl accompanying a spirit to the underworld - winging it's newly freed soul from the physical world into the realm of spirit.
Being aware of the owl's symbolic meanings is a good way to connect with this fascinating creatures, and also become more in-tune with the owl's wisdom.

A Quick-List of Symbolic Owl Meanings:
♥ Wisdom
♥ Mystery
♥ Transition
♥ Messages
♥ Intelligence
♥ Mysticism
♥ Protection
♥ Secrets

Native Americans associated the meaning of owl with wisdom, foresight, and keeper of sacred knowledge. This may largely be due to the fact that the owl is a great fore teller of weather conditions. Also its ability to see at night is legend among the Native Americans, and this attribute would be invoked during ceremonies when an oracle of secret knowledge was required.
Similarly, West African and Aboriginal Australian cultures viewed the owl as a messenger of secrets, kin to sorcerers, as well as companions to seers, mystics and medicine people.
During Medieval times in western and central Europe it was fabled that owls were actually priestesses (witches) and wizards in disguise. To this day the owl is considered a witch's familiar (an animal soul-spirit linked to a spiritual person via a unique, communicative bond).
The owl is a creature of the night. It's important to note the symbolism of nocturnal creatures because night-time proclivities have specific philosophical meanings. Combine the following nocturnal symbolic meanings with that of the owl for a broader interpretation.

Nocturnal Animal Symbolism Includes:
♥ Dreams
♥ Shadows
♥ Other-worldliness
♥ Secret knowledge
♥ Psychic awareness

When we connect with the owl in its own environment, and according to its way of life, it helps in deciphering the messages the owl has for us. Why? Because owls and all creatures of the animal realm are pure energy, and they come from a place of wholeness. As such, they communicate in a unified voice. They speak in the language of the trees, the wind, the moon, the sky, etc. Learning the owl's habitat is a great way to learn her language, and more clearly understand her voice when she chortles in our spiritual ears.

I gladly accept custom orders! If something I have made sold and you're like another, or if there's something you like but want personalized, or if you have an idea for something different please feel free to message me with your thoughts! I'm happy to work with you to make the perfect, personalized item for your needs.

Payment is due IN FULL when order is placed. This is because I often must purchase supplies specific for your custom piece and sadly, I have had people confirm a custom order, then I order supplies and create it for them, only to decide they don't have the money to pay. As a result of a handful of unscrupulous buyers, I must now request payment in full up front.

I always send a picture for final approval.
By it's very nature, handmade jewelry is going to be inherently more delicate than something mass-manufactured. It's important to always apply the "last on; first off" rule meaning put your jewelry on last when getting ready and take it off first.

Permanent wire coatings, protective coatings, non-tarnish finishes and gemstones can be damaged by exposure to various chemicals, including things like lotions, hairsprays and perfumes among others.

It's also important to NEVER submerge handmade jewelry in any kind of liquid, nor use any abrasive clothes, brushes or cleaners as it can damage the piece. Do not wear in the shower, tub, pool or other time when the piece may get submerged in water.
Each order comes wrapped and ready for gifting!

-If this order is shipping to a friend, also be sure to leave the correct address on the order or you may end up finding the package in your own mailbox.
I make my handmade tree of life pendant in three specific sizes.

Regular: 2 inches in diameter

Junior: 1 and 3/4 inches in diamter

Mini: 1 and 1/4 inches in diameter.

I include a sizing chart with picture examples of each size on every listing with a quarter for comparison. Just scroll through the pictures and you will find it there.
Nickel is a very common allergy affecting a large percentage of the population. Tibetan Silver is a metal alloy that does contain traces of nickel, as well as copper. If you know that you have an allergy to nickel, I recommend wearing your jewelry over your clothing- never on your bare chest! I also recommend shopping around and finding a quality chain to accommodate your pendant to ensure you choose a metal that will keep your skin happy and healthy.

My trees of life pendants are made with silver or gold plated copper. If you're only allergic to nickel, they are not a concern. My key pendants, however, are brass-plated nickel.
