A rare find - this is a gorgeous set of iron fireplace andirons aka "fire dogs" with the bust of what I believe to be an English, Spanish or French gentlemen. Possibly a Cavalier? Or an explorer? Don Quixote? One of the Three Musketeers? I haven't been able to determine the gentleman's identity. The andirons are in great shape for their age, which I also have not been able to pin down, although I am fairly certain that they are 1930's vintage or older. No maker's markings. The pair has a really beautiful patina.

The andirons weigh almost 18 pounds unpacked. Each andiron measures 14 1/4" long x 2 3/4" wide x 6" tall. This pair is a very special accent piece for almost any style of decor. If I had a fireplace in my home, I wouldn't even consider parting with this unique pair of andirons!

Note: Shipping price is to the continental U.S. Due to the weight of this item, there will be an additional charge to ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
