The beginning of March signals the beginning of spring, as the earth is quite busy in the act of renewal and plants long dormant have begun to stir. As I contemplate the change of seasons, my hand makes simple drawings that call spring to mind....elegant meditations on growth and the circlular nature of time. In Spring Meditation no.7 whimsical flower blossoms drift freely across the page, drench in splashes of color...yellows and purple. On the right a patch of purple and in the lower center, a tiny patch of paper is held by a delicate bead and surrounded by rainbow bands of pin-pricked holes. This little meditation drawing is entirely intuitive as I let my hand move across the page...I hope it brings you warm cheer!

This drawing on Japanese paper is made with pencil and water soluble crayons, then dipped in beeswax. It is attached to another sheet of Japanese paper of the same size for support, through the beads in the top corners, along with the collaged paper held by a bead in the lower center. The piece measures approximately 6 3/4"h x 6"w and will come to you carefully wrapped and ready for you to frame or display as you desire!

Please keep in the mind that the beeswax makes the piece very delicate. Should be kept safely away from direct heat and out of the hot summer sun!

Thanks so much for browsing MissouriBendStudio...enjoy!
