Originally in Maryland, Windy Meadows Pottery now creates hand-built stoneware structures, one building at a time, in the state of Washington.. This "candlehouse" is a fine example of the craftsmanship of Windy Meadows.

The cottages, buildings, and candlehouses are all "hand-built", using no molds. Individual construction, a second firing, and occasionally hand-painted details insure that each structure is unique with character and personality. Each piece bears the identity of its creator.

This listing is for a Tudor-style vintage candlehouse created in the 1980's. It features a shingle-style roof, clapboard-siding exterior, little hearts, and window shutters, and is totally detailed on all sides. The candlehouse measures 8.5 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide, and 5.5 inches deep. It is stamped on the bottom with the name of the studio and the signature of the potter. The candlehouse comes with a ceramic candle dish to hold a tealight or votive, allowing the light to radiate through the windows.

The piece is in excellent condition - no breakage, chips or other marks. A+++

This is a great item for the Windy Meadows collector, the pottery structures collector, and also would provide a nice accent to Dickensville and similar collections, as well as for Christmas Train Gardens. A true collectible, absolutely delightful.
