I love Dixie Belle paint. if you like to paint furniture, you need to try it! it is very forgiving. a few things I've learned; always PREP!! DON'T SKIP THE PREPPING, even though that part is no fun. you gotta do it for lasting results. clean well, fix anything that needs it (like filling holes), scuff sand, and prime. I use shellac for priming..it dries fast, so you can get to the fun part faster. I usually apply 2 coats of shellac, gently smoothing between coats w high grit sandpaper or sanding pads. then paint! go in the direction as the grain. I gently sand between coats of paint as well if I want a smooth finish. I start w my piece upside down. trust me, you'll thank me later. 😉 and protect your work w a sealer. I love Dixie Belles Best Dang Wax. the seller is great!!

I love this shade of white. I saw how Kristi used in many ways on her blog, especially in her master bedroom. I can't wait to get painting with it. It came super quickly, too.
