Custom and personalized orders

If you need a custom order please let me know and I will do my best to make it happen for you. I will do my best if I accept a custom order to make it exactly as you are expecting but please know there are times when the color, finish, etc. may not be exactly as you were expecting no matter how hard I try to make it the way you want it to be. Custom orders are tricky so please note that there can be no exchanges, refunds or returns on any custom order. Please do allow me extra time on any custom orders. Please note that anything that I have to do to change the original item is considered a custom order. That includes painting the item a different color, adding something to an item, deleting something from an item, etc. Thank you

Painted items are painted at the time of purchase so please allow extra time for shipping. I try to show the most accurate photos concerning the color and finish on my painted items. There are times when the color you receive may be a little darker, lighter, brighter, etc. than the color in the photo due to lighting. The back or bottom of some painted items may not be painted or may have a flaw but it won't be seen when used. The finish on resin, plastic, and wood items may be smooth in some places and rough in other places. The finish on some metal items may be smooth in some places and rough or splotchy in other places as metal doesn't seem to take paint as well as other materials. Please ask any questions before purchasing. Thank you

glass items, glass in frames, mirrors

I do my very best to carefully wrap and package all glass items, glass in frames and mirrors so they will arrive to you intact. I ask the service person at the post office to check my items to make sure they are packaged correctly before sealing the box. I cannot be held responsible for broken items, broken glass in frames or for broken mirrors. There is insurance on all orders so if an item does arrive damaged or broken you can take it to the post office along with the original packaging to start an insurance claim. Glass that is in vintage frames may have minor chips in the corners. Please ask any questions before placing your order. Thank you

regarding antique and vintage items

I try my best to accurately show photos of any cracks, rust, dents, chips, etc. on my antique and vintage items. Please note that if an item is stated as antique or vintage that it is not a new item and may not be 100% perfect. Brass and silver items may have some tarnish. The doors on roll top bread boxes may stick at times. Antique school desks may be dented, the wood may be warped, the tops scratched, have loose pieces, etc. Stands and backing on vintage frames may be bent, torn a little, etc. as it is the original stand or backing. Some vintage frames may be shiny and some may be dull and have a little tarnish. There are no refunds, exchanges or returns on any items. Please ask any questions condition before ordering. Thank you

damage that happens while a package is in transit

I try my very best to carefully wrap and package all items that I ship so that they will arrive to you intact. Before I seal the package I ask someone at the post office to inspect the packaging to make sure it looks ok. All orders do have insurance and if something does happen during transit I will start the claim but you will need to take the package to the post office because you are in possession of the package. Please note that I cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs during transit and cannot issue a refund if any damage does occur. Refunds will be issued through the insurance claim. Please ask any questions before purchasing. I may issue a partial refund if less than the whole order is damaged. Thank you

I do the best I can regarding shipping costs but it is out of my hands how much the post office charges. I do my best to measure my packages accurately and do the weight accurately so as to keep the shipping costs as low as possible for my customers. I do not cancel orders due to shipping costs so please note the shipping cost before purchasing. I do not usually accept returns, do exchanges or issue refunds but if I were to do any of the above the cost of the shipping would not be refunded in any case and if you are sending an item back you would have to cover the return shipping. notifying me of any problems with order

Please notify me within 2 days of delivery if you have any problems with your order. If I do not hear from you within 2 days of delivery I assume that all is fine with your order and file it as finished. If your order has arrived damaged please let me know of the damage and send photos of the damage and the outside of the box within 2 days of delivery. If I do not know of the damage and have photos within 2 days of delivery the order will be filed as finished. When I respond with options to resolve the problem you will have 2 days to respond back with an answer or I will assume the issue is solved. For EU customers please notify me within 14 days of confirmed delivery of any problems with your order. Thank you

chalkboards--chalkboard frames

I use a variety of chalkboard products to make my chalkboards and to do the inserts in my frames. Most of my chalkboards are not slate so if you are needing real slate chalkboards please let me know or ask any questions before ordering. The chalkboard inserts in my frames are usually chalkboard poster board material. The chalkboard material in my chalkboard signs are usually a vinyl chalkboard material. Any of the chalkboard materials can be written on with regular chalk and erased with a regular eraser. Thank you

Make sure you want your order before purchasing

I do not accept cancellations so please be sure you want your order before finalizing your order. I especially cannot accept cancellations on custom orders or rush orders as extra time, effort and/or money has been put into your order. I cannot accept cancellations because the shipping is too expensive, sales tax was added, etc. I cannot accept cancellations because you have changed your mind or no longer need the item. No cancellations on any painted item because it took time and money to paint the item. No cancellations after 24 hours of purchase. Please be sure you want the item or items you are purchasing. I do not normally accept returns or do exchanges. If I do decide to accept an item for return please do not send the item back before I state that I will accept it back. I have a home address and a p.o. box and I use the p.o. box address if I do a return so please do not just send an item back and do not send it to my home address which is on the shipping label. If you just decide to send an item back to me without first getting my ok on the return you will not be issued a refund for your return postage, original postage or for the cost of the item in question. Please contact me first before sending back any items and make sure I say I will accept it back. Thank you
