Item details

Vintage from before 1700

Layered rocks and smooth rocks, some look like hammerstones or smoothing stone artifacts. One in particular has what appears to be indents on either side, but I don't know, Could be just formed by nature. I did find indian artifacts in my backyard, but these were found at work in Pennsylvania. The land here has been combed my metal detecting clubs to reveal civil war bullets and more. Soldiers passed through here outside of York, close to Harrisburg, once a bird sanctuary now an industrial area. I picked most of the smooth ones up for their milling stone type look. Could have been smoothing stones or just smooth by nature. I know for certain some of them you could use to sand smooth a surface. Could be a smoothing rock. Isn't it funny how different rocks make me look twice and I was drawn to these. Some have a few chips on the underside or are jagged, and most are great character. One unique rock looks like it's shrived up inside. I wondered if this was odd or what kind of material it was. Who knows if some are artifacts or maybe they are just rocks? many of the rocks have sections which has layers in them- assembled over time for their rock layers each is unique . I have shown them wet and dry for your perusal. They look so much better in person have some imperfections some are jagged bits but I collected them anyways. Would look great around the home or in a fish aquarium or zen garden, I am not a geologist but I know a cool rock when I see one . Little set here . Unsure what materials as they are a mix. I wanted to make a pendant of the last one is very unique . Please note there is a difference when wet or dry as shown here ( if you want them to look wet all the time simply shellac them)

Returns and exchange details

RETURNS: All items are sold as-is and as described. Vintage items do have slight imperfections and wear as they are authentically vintage. If you need more photos, convo me and I'll do my best to accommodate. Ask questions, I'm very chatty. Did you know on Etsy you can ZOOM all photos? .

DAMAGE: High dollar items shipped UPS with applicable insurance. I pack like Fort Knox. If you are purchasing an item under $50 and desire insurance, please CONVO me.

LOSSES: I ship most items via Paypal where you can track the package. I use delivery confirmation and once that item is delivered, I've done my job. Please keep an eye on the tracking and address immediate issues to your mail carrier. I can't be responsible for items lost or stolen because you had it delivered to your work, or left on your porch for weeks.

Shipping policies

GREENER: Items are packed with recycled packing materials.

EXPEDITED: Sorry, due to work travel issues I can't overnight anything. I ship at least once per week.

For glove molds, heavy melmac, and large items I will need a physical address--not a PO BOX as UPS won't deliver there.

Please note: If your Paypal address is different than your Etsy, your order may be delayed until I verify which one is accurate.

CANADA ISSUES: I no longer ship glove molds to Montreal, Canada due to breakage and problems at that UPS hub. If you live in Montreal, Canada, then you must provide alternate shipping address for me to ship to.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Please note you will be responsible for any import, customs, or duties taxes accessed by your government on incoming parcels. Failure to pay results in the package being abandoned in your country and I can't be responsible for that. These fees include duties, taxes, and other fees as your country may impose in addition to payment to me.

POSTAGE: I do ship internationally and to date, no problems but I must warn you it's expensive. Since the US has done away with "surface" mail which was the least expensive options, your package must go FIRST CLASS INTERNATIONAL (under 4 lbs, not traceable) or PRIORITY MAIL (very expensive, but traceable).

*CANADA / UPS UPS is now offering a wider shipping range, if you do not see the item offered to Canada please convo me and I can check rates.
