Item details

My maternal great grandparents lived in Europe, near the Russian border, and fled in the middle of the night to escape WWI. 1914 was a bad year. None of their stacking dolls survived- so I made them into pins.

But they’re cats.

Measures 1.5 inches! Gold metal plating with a red and pink cat lady body. The gold is very elegant and pretty, and THOSE CHEEKS. She is cloisonné, buffed smooth and shiny.

I gave her a tulip on her costume because my grandfather was stationed in holland in WWII. He did survive, but many of his friends did not.

I visited holland spring 2019 and on my way to Belgium we passed the Canadian WWII cemetery. If my grandfather was there- I would not be here today. (To love all the cats).
