DESCRIPTION : A gorgeous coloured antique lithograph from an original antique lithograph published by Edmonston and Douglas in England as a set of prints in The Instructive Picture Book, an antique book on the geographical distribution on animals. It was created to educate the children of wealthy families. They are some of the most attractive antique prints of animals ever made. The animals are shown in realistic and fascinating environments. They were made using a complex color lithograph printing method and are reminiscent of Japanese woodblock prints. This style and these prints are very rare.
