Welcome to Historic Needlecrafts- Patterns from the past brought back to life for modern knitters

This pattern is a reproduction of a Victorian knitting pattern from 1870 for a neckerchief or lace shawl to go around the neck. The body of the shawl is knitted in one piece with lace edging that is knitted separately and then sewn on to the body of the shawl. No materials are recommented for this Victorian shawl but I would try a lace or fingering weight yarn with appropriate needles for the size of the yarn chosen.

Contact me with any knitting questions.

This is a great pattern for a civil war reenactment.

Pattern contains 5 pages.

This item is for the pattern and not the finished article.
