Farfeild is the rich orange color of the soil and clay found here in the Ozark Mountains . He is the Johny Appleseed of the mouse world and spends his time listening to the land .

He is just under 16 inches tall .
He is made from two different recycled wool sweaters .
He is wearing a scarf made from a strand of colorful hand dyed wool that I spun into yarn .
His body is embellished with little embroidered spots of color and texture on the front and back and arms .
His ears which swoop forward around his face are made using a needle felting technique . Rich hand dyed wool roving is infused into the sweater wool .

The entire creature is sewn together by hand using wool yarn and than felted in hot soapy water .

Farfield is meant to be a soft sculpture and an art piece , but I think Woolagains make great friends for children . Gentle play is encouraged .
