This is a four piece set of antique sewing notions. Included in the set is a small pair of scissors made by J. Rodgers and Sons. They measure 5 1/4 inches long. The first thimble is Sterling Silver and has engraving inside that I cannot make out. It looks like a monogram. MRD or RMD. It has a Greek style border and it is a size 6. The second thimble is also sterling silver but has developed a deep bronzy patina. It also has greek style detailing. The spool of thread is by Coats and Clark. It's "boilfast". The spool is wooden.
