Here is the newest design I made up a few days ago. It's the first Art Nouveau design. I love the stork. The flowers and scrolls are all around the egg as well.

This egg is a band geometric design that wraps around the entire egg making no front or back. If you look close you can see the tulips on the top and bottom of the bands.

Lithuanians call their decorated eggs "Marguciai" meaning Decorated egg. Taking a simple eggshell dyed and then just a blade to make all sorts of scenes and symbols is fascinating to me and something I am glad is now a part of my life.

The Lithuanian tradition of scratching eggs is different from other European egg crafts. Pysanky is multi-colored while Lithuanian eggs are only two colors, the color of the natural egg and the color it was dyed.

Scratching eggs is done with a simple box cutter blade. Not many people have continued this art and most eggs are in museums.

Thank you for looking at this egg and please look at my other items!

** This egg will be created upon purchase. Slight variation may result. Each egg is unique to the egg. **
