Antique postcard, postmarked 1907 from Blacksburg, VA has a romantic scene in soft colors of Edwardian era couple. Perhaps a proposal picnic lunch in a lovely flower filled field?

Antique postcard from the "golden age of postcards", when Europeans & Americans delighted in mailing cards for every occasion.

Interesting that this card actually has a space for correspondence on the back, yet the sender still wrote a message on the front. Probably because old habits are hard to break -- postcards were prohibited from having a written message on the back until 1907, the year this card was sent. Until 1907, only the address could be written on the backside. Great little piece of correspondence and postal history here.
