Rio Grande beaver-chewed driftwood side table with five legs and ingrained weathered nails

$145 + shipping*

Height: 23 inches
Length: 14 3/4 inches
Width: 12 inches

I search for exceptional pieces of driftwood lying on the shores of the Rio Grande and reawaken their spirit into functional pieces of art. Most of the branches are beaver-chewed, recognizable by their distinctive edges, so I keep the pieces as raw as possible to encourage the life and energy of the tree to remain.

Traditional mortise and tenon is my choice of joinery, along with hand-cut dowels, so this piece is completely free of any man-made joints (no nails or screws). Ample sanding reveals a smooth organic finish and subtle lilac hues.

This piece is one-of-a-kind and was handmade in my Santa Fe studio.

*The high shipping cost is due to the size and associated specialty packaging and delivery.
