These two beads are from my recently discovered lost box of beads. They are early work from around 1990. They are from the same cane and are a reasonably good matching pair. The finish is a polish and is consistent with the polish I was using at that time. These are from a series I did titled Whimsy. The Whimsy beads all had chevron cane inlaid into the outer layer of the main cane of the bead. These particular Whimsy beads are the most complex I made having a cane within a cane within a cane. These were pulled three times to get the final cane. The small spots showing along the larger spots at the ends of the beads are actually tiny bits of chevron cane! The beads are 12mm x 32 mm and have a 1-2 mm holed. A bead from this cane is s shown in the Picard Chevron Book from 1995.
