For all their vintage coolness, my collection of Grandma's fancy table linens never saw the light of day. Until I tie-dyed them, that is! Now they make a splash at parties and get regular use at the dinner table.

I've scoured my local second-hand shops for linens to transform from stodgy and staid to upbeat and whimsical... for you!

These two large dinner-size linen napkins measure over 20" square. I've hand-dyed them in a pattern like bicycle spokes, in green and blue with a touch of yellow. The colors won't bleed or fade, and the washable napkins will soften even more with use and laundering.

Wedding gift for the modern couple? Anniversary present for young-at-heart hippies? Distinctive lunchbox accessories? Breadbasket liners? Hand towels? Hippest of bandanas? No question: there's good form AND function here.

Ceramic pot not included.
