I hand carved this large emu egg with a spiral diamond design that showcases the natural layered colors of the egg. The large egg (5 1/4" x 3 1/2") has a textured outer black layer with a beautiful smooth teal layer beneath and a thin white layer on the inside. I carefully removed the outer layers with a high speed carving tool to reveal the inner colors while creating a modern art pattern that follows the form of the egg. The carved egg comes with a choice of two acrylic stands: a low 1" ring or a taller 3 1/2" tri-stand (please let us know your preference in the note to seller at checkout). The egg has a satin protective coating to protect the colors from UV light. This one of a kind nature art would make a stunning display piece in a bohemian or modern home, it's a conversation starter!
