Rare Shell Chair

Why We Love It:

We love the simple design and shaping of these wonderful chairs dating back to the early sixties. This style chair was the very first polypropylene seat shells ever made. It was designed by Sam Avedon at Alladin Plastics of Gardena, CA, USA and was produced by several different companies around the country. Companies manufacturing these chairs included Alladin and Shamrock in the US and later Plaxico in France.

These chairs have great character and make us wish we had a rocket ship that needed some extra seating.

The frames are aluminum with a bronze colored coating and the chair is a molded plastic.

The chairs are in great shape with only one previous owner and were obviously well cared for.

Condition:

Please keep in mind that this is a vintage item and therefore has some minor wear. We try our best to note any very noticeable defects or issues.

The chair is in great shape with only one previous owner and was obviously well cared for.
