This striking necklace features a high-fired stoneware clay pendant* depicting a stylized horned toad (which is actually a lizard). It's accompanied by Nevada Blue Gem turquoise chips, Arizona Kingman turquoise heishi, corrugated copper spacers, and vintage handmade clay feathers** from Oaxaca, Mexico.

Moqui closes with a small triangular copper toggle clasp and measures 19-3/4", with the pendant adding an additional 1-1/2". It goes with my Huerta bracelet; if you'd like to purchase them as a set, convo me for a discount:

*Made by Etsy's talented AZ Arts.

**The feathers were made in the village of Santo Tomas Jalieza in Oaxaca, Mexico, in the early 1970's. Santo Tomas Jalieza is a village of traditional potters, bead makers and weavers who for generations have been making fine pottery and working with clay. These durable beads are single fired in wood ovens.
