We made this with a heavy/mid weight, drapey linen. It was hard to find a zipper that gave it the look we were going for and we ended up with a separating zip from Joann's. It is a well written pattern and ended up fitting perfectly. The techniques used were definitely beginner methods. Even with a loose weave the seams matched up perfectly. We used iron on seam tape on the pocket fronts.
Great instructions and very easy to put together. For it to fit my hourglass shape I had to make some adjustments to the pattern (extra darts) - it was so great to have all the measurements so I could combine two different size of top and pant part to make it fit me. Personally I struggled a bit with finding the right strap length, so for my next pair I might make them adjustable. But all in all - highly recommend!
This pattern was super cute and pretty easy to follow. I’m very new to sewing and still ended up with a really nice finished product!!
I've made 2 overalls and the only "complaint" is that they are too long but that's what sewing is for haha! overall I LOVE this pattern! I plan on making so much more!
