Vintage 1950's matchbook from the Indian Room at the Monona Hotel in Madison Wisconsin. Great souvenir!

The Indian Room opened after the end of Prohibition, and touted kitschy decor, costumed waitresses and big bands. There was a room called the Wigwam for private parties and the bar was called the Bow and Arrow.

This matchbook has great graphics on the cover of an Indian chief (Native American in today's language), hatchet and wigwam. The back shows a lobster and steak and reads World Famous for steak, seafood dinners and variety dishes. The edge reads "Dial 6-1928" for reservations. Graphics inside the cover too!

In very good vintage condition with just a little wear to the cover and a few matches gone. Large size, 3" x 2".
