nickel and lead free findings, nylon fiber cord, 14K gold leaf paint, gold toned metal tub beads, PYM II clear coat

Bees are precious and needed in this world, though many people are afraid of them. I see many of them on my nature hikes, but this is my first clay piece with the bee as a theme in a primitive style! I created a hexagon shaped base with raised and recessed honeycomb shapes on which sits a little honey bee. Real 14K gold leaf paint I used to accent the raised surfaces of the bee and the hexagon shapes, allowing the copper brown painted lower colour to peek through in crevices and indents. The bee's wings are gold toned embedded jewelry wire. I have strung the bee pendant with bails formed from gold toned beading wore, onto nylon fiber brown colour cord. The big heart shaped lobster clasp and rope patterned toggle ring are matte copper brown toned metal alloy, the cord ends are a brass toned metal alloy. The decorative tube beads are antiqued gold toned metal alloy.
This bee pendant I created using super hard cured epoxy resin clay. The painted clay pendant I then sealed in a satin clear coat that does not yellow and is made for use on acrylics, paints and polymers.

You receive the exact bee honeycomb pendant necklace shown as it is one of a kind and can not be repeated.

The cord length is 7 3/4" each side from findings to bails on the pendant so is 15 1/2" in diameter, so a fairly short style necklace, a longish choker length. The actual pendant piece is 1" long including the bail and 1 1/4" wide across its widest point and about 1/8" thick. The necklace is not heavy, it is very light.

CARE: This necklace is not recommended to be worn in water, showering, in pools or in hot tubs as that will eventually degrade the finish on the findings as well as destroy the cords, and it is best to hang separately from other necklaces so as not to tangle with the wire elements.

I am able to accept personalized or custom orders, but am unable to offer refunds on either. Cancellations are accepted only if requested within a 12 hour period after ordering.
My sizes are described as accurate as possible. Questions are always welcome. Lengths of necklaces can be altered upon request, upon purchasing, in most cases.
Polymer clay is not harmed by water, but some of the finishes and clear coats, as well as the metal pieces, can be, over time. It is recommended that cleaning solutions are not used, clay pieces are not worn into hot tubs, pools, and not repeatedly in the shower.
I am happy to gift wrap, or add personal notes, if requested, within reason. Sorry, I will not send anything anonymously from a buyer to their recipient, upon receiving such requests, under any circumstances.
Wholesale is not really a possibility for my pieces, as most are one of a kind, and some of my supplies are antique, upcycled, and limited.
My jewellery and accessories are not recommended for young children.
I ship your purchase tracked and insured. I only charge what it costs me to ship from Canada to your location so that your package is shipped safely to you. It is $16.00+ Canadian minimum, to ship tracked small packages to US addresses. So, as you can work out yourself, my shipping is generally undercharged.
I do not charge extra for handling or packing materials, and I make no profit at all on the shipping I charge.
