Despite mixed reviews of the film (so many "phans" of the stage production have a hard time enjoying the film, myself included), one thing hard to debate is the beauty of so many of Christine's gowns. This is no exception.

The sheer lace skirt (which can be backed with chiffon or another fabric for an additional cost) is heavily embroidered, sequined, and beaded. Above this is a loose lace camisole with either a white or pink ribbon lacing at the top holding it on...or off...the shoulders.

The sequined brocade corset is an authentic, gusseted Victorian corset, heavily boned with steel bones and lined in cotton drill for comfort. The film version closed with seven hooks and eyes in front rather than a busk (busk available for the cost of the busk).

The robe really sets this ensemble off. I used cotton gauze, which is light and airy, so cool and just a wonderful fabric. The sleeves, hem, and front edges are edged with a wide sequined lace, and around the neckline and down to the waist, the lace is gathered. The bell-shaped sleeves are slightly gathered in the front of each. On the gathered lace around the neck are several small roses, your choice of organza (which are softer), or ribbon. The original robe doesn't actually have a closure, but a ribbon at the waist closes it nicely. It's not attached in any way, for you purists out there! On request, I will make it so it can bustle.

This cost is for my standard version using polyester and rayon and cotton fabrics. If you'd like silks, please convo me.

SIZING: After you decide to make a purchase, I will contact you with measurements I need to make the gown. ALL gowns will involve a contract with measurements, ship-by date, shipping address, etc., for your protection as well as mine.

SHIPPING INFORMATION: I DO ship internationally. Please convo me directly for international rates. All shipping is by UPS.

PAYMENT INFORMATION: I, like a growing number of etsy sellers, accept WePay for payments. An invoice will be sent to you from from Curdbee Invoicing with payment instructions, AFTER all sizing information is received and details are agreed upon. While payment isn't made the very second you order, it is much more secure than Paypal, buyers are protected, sellers don't get credit card info or any other personal information, international shipping is fine (there's a common misconception that it's not, but it depends on if the seller set up the cart to accept international addresses), accounts are much harder to hack, and fees are much less for sellers. I also don't support Paypal's tendency to freeze accounts set up for disaster donations and then to hold the money for 180 days.

When purchasing, please check the "other" checkbox and an invoice will be sent directly to you. Thank you!
