This leather Victorian scrapbook, which says "Christmas Cards" on its cover, is the jewel in my ephemera collection, which has been one of my strongest passions since I was a young girl. When I obtained it over a decade ago, I paid an amount that back then was a very big number, and it was apprasied for more than that then.

The gentleman whose book this was, its creator, was named Drulaf Pearce Perchallis (if anyone can read the last name better, please tell me how you read it....) did a great job putting it together, and had many interesting friends, all of whom would have given him the clip art the Victorians were so known for. They hail from many different countries, and one is even from China or Japan, how interesting!

This volume took him about three years to fill up, judging from dates of Montreal Carnival Programs posted near the back, which in themselves are just incredible. Each item if it were properly priced that is in this book, one could never afford it. It has 83 pages filled with art, many pages have 6-15 things on them, some have one or two larger pieces. Many are chromolithographs, which are vibrant, and very desireable.

I have dozens more pictures of this anthology of art from yesteryear, so feel free to contact me to see them if that helps. Many other holidays, subjects of intrest are included in this volume, making a inclusive collection, lovely for display under glass to preserve leather, or as an investment. But very sturdy, so as to enjoy looking through, and sharing with others. Because of the fact that the pieces of art were enclosed in the book which was always well stored, each piece is like an original, and anyone who collects lithographs or knows paper knows that helps it still be vibrant and easily reproduced.

Hope you enjoyed seeing it, feel free to convo over any ol thing, and be sure to check our other etsy shops.
