This beautiful ring dates back to the beginning of the nineteenth century, placing it during the late Bourbon restoration (1815-30, the Georgian era in England).

It is crafted in 18K solid gold and 800 silver and features both assay marks on the shank.

It features a central old European cut diamond, measuring approximately 4.1mm (~0.25ct). It is surrounded by a crown of 8 rose cut diamonds measuring ~2mm each (0.24cttw) This circle of natural gem is, itself, haloed with many smaller rose-cut diamonds. One small rose is missing but does not impair the overall aesthetic aspect of this beautiful ring. We count approximately 15 roses measuring a little less than 1mm each (0.06cttw)

With its 8 prongs, the central old cut diamond clearly stands out and apart from the rest of the clustered diamonds which are all prong set and a great complement to the central stone. The ring 3-tiered face stands on an elaborate see-through gallery and well-crafted shank.

This beautiful ring makes an excellent cocktail ring. Although one small stone is missing, it is in very good condition showing only general signs of wear. Any white or cloudy spots on the images are glare and/or photographic obstructions.

*Information on gold jewelry:

- 24K gold is pure gold. (it is not really used in jewellery because it is too soft and not practical for daily wear.)
-18K gold contains 18 parts gold and 6 parts of one or more additional metals, making it 75% gold. This level of fineness is used extensively in French and Italian jewelry and in most quality pieces)
-14K gold contains 14 parts gold and 10 parts of one or more additional metals, making it 58.3% gold. (It is used extensively in the US)
-12K gold contains 12 parts gold and 12 parts of one or more additional metals, making it 50% gold.
-10K gold contains 10 parts gold and 14 parts of one or more additional metals, making it 41.7% gold. 10K gold is the minimum standard that can be called "gold" in the United States.
Antique jewelry and rare items often contain the lower level of fineness, but their value is based on a myriad of other factors.
