Crossing the 50 Yard Line...

Originally titled "Lander Circle" after a traffic circle here in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, it morphed into a different feeling and meaning with the football analogy, making the piece a bit more relatable to those looking for abstraction that has some identifiable meaning.

Painted in 2004 over a period of 18 months, the painting is for those who love purple in varying shades. It is replete with angular geometric juxtaposition and incorporates a crossover of yellow's and green's that feed nicely into the overall concept.

There are two specific areas that are canvas overlays which were separately painted and affixed to the canvas. They represent a continuation of the complexity and struggle within the art. They also serve as visual segue's to softly pull the eye in another direction.

This "fine art" geometric original artwork represents a mix of abstract expressionism into a contemporary acrylic painting.

For added protection, the artwork has several coats of varnish to seal the surface but this original acrylic painting should NOT be hung in direct sunlight as fading will occur over time. Minimal sunlight exposure is totally acceptable.

This original is 24x30 on canvas panel and framed in Nielsen 117 Purple. Finished size is approx. 26x32.

All materials used in the framing process are archival products commonly used in conservation framing. All hanging materials necessary to mount on most wall surfaces are included.

This item will ship to you via FedEx at no charge. A custom crate/shipping container will be built for this item at no extra charge.
