Lladro Wild Goose Chase, Girl Chasing Duck, Girl Chasing Goose, Collectible Lladro, Porcelain Figurine, Lladro Figurine, Retired Lladro 5553

This listing is for a Lladro figurine depicting a young girl chasing a goose and is called "Wild Goose Chase". The catalog number for this figure is 5553. This figurine was hand made of glossy porcelain in Spain in the late 1980's and the design was by sculptor, Francisco Polope. It is now retired and the withdrawal date was on 01/01/1998. It measures 6 inches x 8 inches and is in excellent used vintage condition with no scratches, chips, or cracks. I do not have the original box but it will be carefully bubble wrapped for shipment.

The Lladro company was founded in 1953 by three brothers, Juán, José and Vicente Lladró, in the village of Almàssera which is near Valencia. Starting with items such as vases and jugs, it wasn't until 1956 that they started producing the sculptures for which they are now most famous. After a rapid expansion of their business, they eventually moved their workshop to Tavernes Blanques in 1958. Lladró figurines are made of hard-paste porcelain, which is sometimes referred to as "true porcelain". It is a ceramic material that is fired at very high temperature. The Lladro trademark logo features the now famous Lladro bellflower. This figurine has the sixth Lladro backstamped logo which added a copyright date and was used from about 1984 to 1989 and can be seen in the last two photos.

Shipping and handling price is for USPS Parcel Post Select Mail which includes Tracking and Endicia Insurance. Priority Mail is available as an upgrade. If you would like to have this item shipped to Canada or Europe, please convo me for pricing.
