This joyful ceramic head was hand built with coils of clay and sculpted into a blissful state with wheel thrown vessels surrounding his head. He radiates with a glowing enthusiasm.

I like to think of each pot as being a thought container, each holding a little story. His love for what is beautiful is reflected on his wares. Each pot, except the spout, is liquid tight and can be used as a vase or other containing vessels as you see fit.

The cups and face are painted in under glaze, while the insides of the vessels, the bottle and hair are glazed.

It is 12 inches tall, by 11 inches wide by 6 inches deep. It hangs on the wall with a single screw hook.

He's on sale! Marked down from $250.

The second to last image is from a little underwater camera experiment with this piece. The last image is a shot of my studio space with this wall sculpture in the background, top center holding some of my brushes and driftwood.

It is an uplifting piece of sculpture made to nourish the happiness we can find within our emptiness, like a pot which is useful because of the empty space it holds.
