Hi ladies!

After more than a year of working on prototypes, adjusting the pattern, fit tests, and sampling. The SandCruisers "slim-fit" is finally here!

Special thank you to: Marilyn, Elizabeth, Michiru, Stephanie, Monica, Erica, Lena (who even offered to cut out the pattern for me! ha!), my sister (Julie), Keisha, Laura, and Fatima. Your feedback, photographs, fit tests, and support were essential in developing this style. So thank you! And I hope we finally reached the perfect fit!

SandCruisers are traditional Arabian sandals that have been traditionally worn by men for centuries. However, this design is a redesigned version of the original specifically for women.

The SandCruisers "slim-fit" is for the woman with any foot width, however, it has a slimmer front strap for a more feminine lay across a woman's foot. It also has a much smaller toe-ring (about 1 inch or 2.5 cm), and the toe-ring is now small enough that ladies will still be able to show off their pedicures. (I got that feedback ladies, thank you!)

If you're a returning customer and you prefer my first redesign: the unisex cut, then please refer to my other listings. The normal, unisex fit has a bigger toe-ring and is for my female customers with longer toes, and a normal to a wider foot. This is a cut that I originally redesigned for men, but I gained a following of female customers who prefer this cut. If you're a woman ordering in men's sizing please add 2 the men's size to get your size. For example, if you're a women's 10 you'd want a men's 8. Men's + 2 = your women's size.

This is beautiful deep flamingo pink colored leather that has a subtle sheen to it, and the inner strap in camel colored, so it creates a unique two-tone colorway. The embroidery thread is gold. I could see this color way pairing well with light denim wash or even white or cream colored denim. Cut offs would be nice too, either cut off shorts or long jeans. I also see this sandal pairing well with a loose fitting skirt or long dress. I could also see this style with tank tops and jeans. Accessorize with gold or rose gold. A thin gold chain with a small charm would highlight the gold embroidery in this style.

SandCruisers are the ultimate in summer footwear. The are 100% leather, so perfect for my Earthing customers, and please give them time to break in. After they break, they will mold completely to your foot shape and be more comfortable than any sandal you've ever owned. (Yes, I just said that!) Use coconut oil on the inside of the toe-ring and front strap to prevent irritation on your toes when they are new and before they soften. Once they soften, you'll live in SandCruisers.

Yes, for a minute. SandCruisers are made in a traditional construction of several layers of solid leather soles. They will be harder than cushy sandals you've been wearing at first, however, SandCruisers over time will soften and shape to your foot in a way that synthetic materials aren't capable of. Keep wearing your SandCruisers, break them in and they will be the most comfortable sandals you've ever owned in the end. Trust me. Even if you have high arches, the leather will mold to your arch. You will see.

These are the traditional sandals of the Arabian Peninsula. I am a world traveler and I discovered them walking along the traditional souks full of spices, incense burners, long robes, and traditional bedouin jewelry. I bought a pair for myself, and started designing new patterns, new color ways, and importing them in 2015. At first I was selling them to Americans, but now I ship all over the world. I've even been lucky enough to have a following in Arabia because they like my designs and new twist on a classic.

My workshop has a slow turn around. I have one employee who traces each pattern piece out by hand, hand cuts each piece of leather with scissors and hand stitches each piece of leather. You can imagine it takes months to get an order or reorder in. And remember, all of my designs are unique and different, so that complicates production. Believe me, it's just as frustrating for me as it is for you! I lose a lot of sales because I don't have sizes. That's why I advise customers to not wait. If I have your size, buy it. I won't have it for long. But if I am sold out of your size and you really want a pair, message me and that puts you at the top of my list when I get my production in. I never forget a customer who took the time to reach out.

I used to work exclusively with a workshop outside of Jeddah. I've been in business for many years now and I now have my own workshop. You will see how my designs have become more intricate lately and I'm doing new things that I never did before like the argyle designs and the crystal designs. I still work with my old factory if we are backed up in my workshop, but now we do most of the production ourselves. My partner in Jeddah aslo owns a workshop in Pakistan and sometimes he brings the sandals over in what we call in the shoe business "componets". For example, the leather uppers he might have cut, sewn and embroidered at his workshop in Pakistan, however the final assembly is done in Arabia.

I love my Sandcruisers! Totally unique style sandals that felt comfortable on me right away!Well, the leather top straps feel soft and supple right away and I still need to “break in” slowly the bottom leather soles that are stiff and sturdy. I will follow instructions on “breaking in” the Sandcruisers. My sandals are two toned (red and brown)with bright gold stitching and little knots that add to the flare. I’m surprised how well they compliment a wide variety of clothing and colors. Until they arrived (which was fairly quick) I was thinking I would be limited in their use, but I was proven wrong, I’m happy to admit. Communication with the owner of shop, Alex, was very helpful in deciding what size to choose. I ordered my usual American size and I think that these sandals accommodate all widths of feet and toe lengths.
