Red Flint Filter Sands Gravel Sack-Bag-Vintage 1940s-Eau Claire, WI-Indian Arrowhead Graphics

This listing is for a Red Flint Filter Sands & Gravel Sack or Bag that was once full of Red Flint Filter Sand No.30 from the Eau Claire Sand & Gravel Co in Eau Claire, WI. This is a large bag that probably held 100lbs. I have similar size bags that were rated to hold 100lbs from this same collection and were marked. Considering the style of this sack and it's graphics I think it probably dates from the 1940's or earlier. It is made from a heavy weight linen or cotton. This sack measures 17" wide by about 27" long. This is a sack that is printed on one side only.....the back is usable fabric (also 17" X 27"), but blank. Colors in red, black and white are crisp and sharp..... this has not been washed. But there is some light soiling mainly on the back including some rust spots around the top. The sack also has an original tag on it showing the purchaser and what the bag held on the reverse side. (See close ups). This bag features an Indian arrowhead image that is an awesome graphic. There is also small printing on the bottom of the bag that identifies the maker of the bag as "Fulton Bags". This bag was never taken apart and is ready to fill. This would be a super piece to frame and hang....or great piece for a project.
