Handmade

Dimensions

Length: 438 Yards; Yarn weight: 1 Fingering & Sock

Material

Primary fiber: Wool

Teton Knitting Company Hand Dyed Mountain Sock Yarn, a durable but soft, 4 ply Superwash Merino Sock Yarn with generous yardage with the right amount of twist to hold up to socks but soft enough to wear next to the skin for a variety of projects such as shawls, shawlettes, baby blankets, wraps, gloves and hats. This is my go to sock yarn for my husband and friends as the Tetons are hard on socks but this one holds up time and time again.

Colorway

At the Climbing Ranch in Grand Teton National Park, hundreds of climbers from around the world use this as historic ranch as base camp for countless mountaineering routes in the Tetons. Some of the world's most legendary climbers have stayed or worked as a guide at the Climbing Ranch. This colorway is inspired by the brightly colored climbing gear of the climbers.

This colorway is part of our Teton Landmark series and will only be available until September 30, 2019.

Yarn Specifications:

Yarn Base: Mountain Sock
Colorway: Climbing Ranch
Number of Plys: 4
Yardage: 438 yards
Skein Weight: 3.5 ounces/100 grams
Fiber: 100% Superwash Merino

Care:

While superwash wool yarns can be machined washed on cool setting, it is recommended to hand wash and line dry.

Dyeing:

Teton Knitting Company uses color fast acid dyes on all our yarns. My yarns are all hand dyed by me in my yarn studio in Teton Valley, Idaho. Yarns are dyed in groups of 3 in most cases and I do my best to ensure consistency in each batch, however, there will be some variation even within a dye lot. Different dye lots will be siblings, rather than twins, so it is recommended you order enough for a project in one order for best results.
