If you are looking for a special gift, choose hand-coloured prints over chromolithographs. While admiring the print, keep in mind that all the coloured lines and filled-in colour were painstakingly done by hand.

This is a hand-coloured engraving of plants from "Florigraphia Britannica", by Deakin and Marnock, published in 1837. Subtitled "Engravings and Descriptions of the Flowering Plants and Ferns of Britain". Printed and hand-coloured in the UK. Featuring several finely-drawn illustrations arranged in an elegant grid layout. Perfect for framing!

The full print is shown in the first photo. Other photos show details from the print.

One margin may exhibit a little unevenness due to the binding. Otherwise, this antique engraving, over 170 years old, is in very good condition for its age.
