Here's a trim and elegant wartime suit pattern from Advance, issued circa 1942. The tailored jacket is accented with bias details - there are decorative flaps on the chest, and flap-trimmed patch pockets at the hips - a great way to take advantage of a plaid or a striped fabric. The skirt has a single wide box pleat across the center front, and another across the center back. Make the jacket with 3/4-length or short sleeves, and make the skirt of matching fabric or contrast.

Bust 36"
Waist 30"
Hip 39"

The pattern is pre-cut (unprinted) and complete. Most of the pattern pieces are in good condition, with only tiny tears at notches and perforations; one piece (the jacket back) has an edge tear approximately 2" long. The envelope is in nice shape too - edge wear and some very small tears, mostly at the corners, a small stain on the back, and another down the right edge of the envelope front.
