This is a great old pitcher with lots of character with the dips and dots on it. The basic molded shape looks like a barrel and at the handle and spout it looks like rivets metal holding it together. There is a high gloss glaze on the outside. The interior is a grayish white and that glaze has many little cracks...this is called crazing...a term to define small crackling in the finish. This happens with age.

There are some little dimples in the stoneware and one bigger ding that was done when manufactured. (see photo). This is rustic in appearance. No cracks chips or breaks.
6 1/4" high 5 7/8" wide.

Uhl Pottery was located in Huntingburg, Indiana during the 1940s and produced household items like this pitcher. There was an abundance of rich clay in the area and it was discovered to be perfect for the making of many items.

Another option for US shipping is with FedEx and that should be about $ me with your zipcode & I can give you a direct quote.
