Wheel Thrown Porcelain Clay, Mixed From Scratch Glazes, Agate Ware, Marbled Porcelain Clay

Large yarn bowl made with three shades of blue and creamy white porcelain clay finished with a clear glaze. I designed this bowl with a wide base so it's sturdy and won't tip or move when you pull the yarn. It holds one very large ball of yarn or two small balls of yarn.

Size: Height 4 ¼", Diameter 7 ¼" at the rim. This listing is for the blue yarn bowl pictured.

I carefully sand and polish the bottom of my pottery, so that it is smooth and will not scratch any table surfaces. The yarn openings are also completely smooth so that the yarn does not catch while you knit or crochet. The top hole is left open to easily remove your project, but also can be temporarily closed by lacing a bow through the small holes on either side of the opening, as pictured.

I made this yarn bowl on a potter's wheel using high-quality porcelain. I mix my glazes from scratch using only non-leaded ingredients. I hand mix my colored clays using the same colorants used in my glazes. Although intended to be used as a yarn bowl, this piece is food, dishwasher and microwave safe.

The bottom of each piece of pottery is signed with my maker's mark.
