This is a snack dish or nut dish produced by Ball-Jae of California most likely sometime in the 1950's. The dish is light blue glazed pottery shaped like two chickens. It has a metal handle so that you can pick up the dish without sticking your thumb in the snacks.

This would be great sitting on your coffee table with nuts or candy in it, or to use to bring out appetizers to your guests. It could also be used as a catchall for change and keys.

The plate is marked "Ball-Jae of California U.S.A. No. 622" on the underside. The dish is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or crazing.

The dish is 7 1/2" in diameter and with the handle is 5" tall.
