This one of a kind piece was inspired by my love of the western lifestyle and in honor of native american people. It all centers around two equisite turquoise cabs that I purchased in Tucson. In honor of the western theme, I used gemstones found mainly in the west and incorporated glass beads and brass patina drops to accent the colors of the stones. I hand embroidered each of the thousands of beads and gemstones one at a time on an ostrich leather backing, and it closes with a large piece of carnelian. Gemstones included in this piece are Turquoise, peridot, green onyx, flourite, paua shell, and coin shaped freshwater pearls. The necklace is approximately 20 inches around, so it is larger than a choker, yet will fit any size neck. The widest part of it is approximately 5 inches. This piece would look great with a white peasant blouse, or just as nice with a black tee shirt. It will surely get attention once someone out there decides to add it to thier one of a kind collection. Thank you for visiting my shop!
