Materials

Natural white Merino, Natural core wool

This is a very special and completely unique wool sculpture that I called, “Compassionate Supplication.” She is truly a one of a kind art doll, created to depict loving compassion and prayer for all of us who can’t, or don’t know how, to pray for ourselves. Something between a guardian angel and an angel of mercy.

"Compassionate Supplication" stands a little over 11-inches tall. She is solid natural wool, no armature, and firmly needle felted. She is all natural white with touches of a pale sandy-peach on her face. Other details include many folds in her flowing gown, a voluminous hairstyle that frames her face with two lovely braids to tame it, and fine details on her serene and loving face. She is signed and dated on a cedar tag attached to her base.

She will be shipped, lovingly wrapped in tissue paper, and placed safely inside a protective plastic bag. Care instructions will be included in the packaging. For postage outside the US, expedited or upgraded shipping, please write for a price quote. Thank you!

— IMPORTANT NOTE — Needle felted sculptures are NOT toys. They are collectible art pieces. Given that they are all natural wool, too much handling can cause loosening of fibers and fuzzing. They are best displayed where they can be admired without excessive touching. They are heirloom quality, meaning with a little care, they can last many, many years, handed down generation to generation.

Every piece comes wrapped in tissue paper. Most items will be mailed in a sturdy cardboard shipping box to help ensure against damage in transit. Smaller items may be wrapped extra heavy for protection and mailed in a gray/silver poly mailer.
I've found there are two schools on this. Some prefer vacuuming, and others prefer blowing off the dust.

To vacuum, put a thin sock, nylon or something similar over the vacuum hose (use a drapery setting if you have one, if not, just keep the hose from making direct contact). This works well without disturbing the fibers much. Some collectors prefer using those little keyboard vacuums because they are less powerful, and safer for your collectible.

To blow dust off, many like canned air (like the ones used for cleaning computers). My favorite choice is a manual air blower for cleaning camera lenses. I use a Rocket Air Blaster, a manual "puffer" that easily shoots out quick bursts of air. I use mine all the time.
