This is a pattern, NOT A FINISHED ITEM and you have to make it yourself. All of my patterns are in pdf format. You may need the latest pdf reader to open them which you can download free from Adobe. No refunds are given once the pattern has been sent as there is no way to "return" a digitally delivered item.

From January 1st 2015 I will not be able to sell digital downloads to EU countries outside of the UK due to new VAT regulations. All patterns are only available as emailed copies on Etsy. If you are in the UK or non-EU, instant downloads are available through my website.

If you are as unhappy with this as I am, please sign the petition - - and sign the petition at the White House - - and write to your MP, MEP or the corresponding representative for your country.

~ Special Offer ~ Buy 6, pay for 5. Please see the Animal Afghan Offer listing to buy all 6 afghans for the price of 5.

I made one of these then just couldn’t resist making another five to match! Having a some meant that so many of the baby blankets out there were just too pretty. Each of these is suitable for a baby boy or a baby girl, just by altering the colour of the animal and the edging.

The animals are made separately then sewn on to the background with wadding in between to produce a 3D effect. The tongue, nose and eyes are worked in as you go. There are a few ends to sew in and you may find it easier to do this as you go along. The wadding is optional. It simply makes the animal stand out more when it is quilted on to the background.

200g of DK acrylic in White, 200g of DK acrylic in chosen colour, small amounts of DK in black, pink and deeper chosen colour, wadding (optional) 46 x 58 cm (18 x 23 in).

4.00mm hook, needle for sewing.

Tension (UK terms)
Using above materials, 16 dc and 20 rows to 10 cm (4 in)

Finished size
Approx 63 x 81 cm (25 x 32 in)
