Great looking kippah hand-made by Jewish women in the Abayudaya community near Mbale, Uganda. This kippa fits snugly and is knit with heavy-weight yarn, so it won't easily slide off your head. Colorful and extremely well-made, no two are exactly alike.
Jewish women knit these kippot to provide for their families. It is too hard for them to get a job because many women in this community never went to school. They stay at home doing housework and caring for their children. These kippot have let women use their creativity and be economically independent while continuing to take care of their children. The income helps in taking their kids back to school, buying basic needs, and sustaining their well-being. 100% of sales go to the women in Uganda.
Go out in style for Purim and Pesach knowing you made a positive impact. They make great gifts!

There are a few ways to spell kippot, and for the sake of searchers I'll list them: Yarmulke, yarmulkes, kippas, kipa, kipas, kipahs, skullcap, skullcaps, yamaka, yamakas, yamaca and yamacas. Let me know if you think of more.

5 out of 5 starsHand made and beautiful. Looks exactly like picture and sewed in my Hebrew name. It took a long while for shipping but it was made new and came from Uganda. Communication about this was first-rate. The product is great, just understand it takes time to make and ship.

Distinctive, beautiful, and well-made Kippot. 😇Can’t wait to wear it ! (How often does one get to support a good cause while enhancing one’s shul wardrobe?). Just wish that there was a label inside the Kippot proclaiming where and by whom it was made! Sandy

I'm very grateful to Hashem, and to Hadassah for this unique and lovely kippah! It fits well and the colors are striking! Although I am one of baldness, keeping my hair close allows for a perfect "Velcro" effect. Will definitely be purchasing more from this shop!
