Narrow crowded bridge
Too much mass in tiny space
How I hate rush hour

- Bananastrudel-san, 2011

This is an engraving of a woodcut called Fukui Bridge in the Province of Echizen, by renowned 19th-century Japanese printmaker Hokusai.

This colour plate of the woodcut was printed and engraved in a publication printed in London, England, in 1930. The engraving has a matte feel and is partially attached to ivory-coloured cardstock of superior quality, which gives it a nice, neutral background. I would not suggest removing the cardstock it is adhered to, but rather, framing it as is.
